Job Overview:

The Senior Technology Specialist (IT) uses best practices and knowledge of internal and external technology trends to enhance the technology discipline within McDermott. Acting as a subject matter expert, they provide guidance to colleagues with less experience and share both conceptual and practical expertise across functional and technical domains. The role is responsible for solving complex business and system challenges, improving technology solutions and services, and contributing to a range of customer, operational, project, and support activities while ensuring compliance with established guidelines and policies.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Oracle HCM Cloud Techno-Functional Consultant with strong hands-on expertise across both functional and technical areas of Oracle HCM Cloud. This includes experience in the implementation, configuration, enhancement, and support of Core HR, Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC), Benefits, Talent Management, and Compensation modules. In addition, the role requires strong technical capabilities in designing and developing outbound integrations, data migration solutions, reports, and custom applications to support evolving business requirements.

The Senior Technology Specialist (IT) collaborates closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to deliver scalable and efficient HCM solutions that optimize business processes and enhance the employee experience.

Qualifications Essential Qualification and

Education:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience Oracle certification preferred5+ years of work experience with Oracle Fusion Must have HCM Cloud Skills (Core HR, Recruitment Cloud ORC, Benefits, Talent Management)
Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time management skills

Must have strong technical skills background including HCM Data Loader, HSDL, HCM Extracts, Fast Formulas, Oracle SQL, OTBI, OBIEE, BI Bursting Reports.

Self-starter, works independently with minimal supervision, is proactive, and learns quickly

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency) Must Have:

Client Facing Experience, Exposure to Implementation projects

Experience with various aspects of Oracle HCM implementation including requirements gathering, fit or gap analysis, functional design development, user acceptance testing, training and deployment activities

Good to have:
Knowledge on HCM Rest API#LI-CA1#DICE Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Responsible for level 2 IT support and maintenance of custom and commercial Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), including day-to-day technical operations  Work closely with level 1 global support to resolve the issues and satisfy the requests of 1000+ EPC projects and 30,000+ global users Many of these issues and requests are critical to a project’s schedule and profitability and must be handled promptly

Engage resources from other IT areas as needed to meet the needs of the global user base Responsible for consolidating user functional requests and preparing development packages consisting of estimates, schedules, specifications, testing, and roll-out plans  Manage vendor relationships to keep a complex environment up to date with the latest releases ensuring applications are as secure as possible and providing users with the latest functionality improvements

Work with cross-functional teams as required to provide technical recommendations, find possible workarounds, and report root cause analysis
