Our client is an A+ rated carrier in search of an Underwriting Specialist to join their Excess Casualty/Umbrella division. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing book of business with optimal opportunity for career progression. You will be provided high visibility working under well known successful excess casualty focused leadership and work with a cohesive team.
About the Role
This production underwriting opportunity will handle middle market excess casualty and umbrella accounts up to $1B in revenue throughout a regionalized territory. The book includes many industry segments (financial institutions, manufacturing, technology, real estate, hospitality and more). Excess Casualty and Umbrella will be written through retail brokerage distribution.
The ideal talent will have a strong foundation of excess casualty exposures ideally in the middle market sector (although candidates with smaller business experience will also be considered). Established retail brokerage relationships are preferred as well. Package middle market underwriters are urged to apply as well.
Qualifications & Required Skills
- 3+ years of excess casualty underwriting expertise required
- Strong track record of building successful relationships with retail brokers preferred
