In-House Attorney – Vendor Contracts Professional Houston, TX

Job Description

The Reynolds and Reynolds Company is seeking an In-House Attorney to handle a wide variety of complex legal matters and projects with a primary focus in vendor contracting.

The specific job functions will include: reviewing, negotiating, and drafting vendor agreements; coordinating sophisticated strategies with outside counsel; advising on current legal matters and developments with the law; providing general support to the company’s sales and operations departments; understanding and translating complex legal concepts for all levels of business personnel; and other legal matters facing the company. This position requires travel up to 25% of the time and will be based out of our facility in Houston, Texas.

• Doctor of Jurisprudence from an accredited law school.
• Currently licensed to practice law in the United States, preferably in the State of Texas.
• Prefer 3+ years of experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel in a corporate setting, preferably with a focus in vendor contracts.
• Exercise exceptional legal reasoning, analysis, and contract drafting abilities.
• Possess strong negotiating skills and reasoned judgment.
• Must be adaptive and able to work productively both independently and as a member of a team.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with executive and associate level employees both orally and in writing.
• Must be coachable and willing to learn.
