Our Downtown client is looking for a results-driven High Volume Mass Tort Attorney to join our team in Houston.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a large caseload of mass tort cases and will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support from case intake through resolution. As a key member of our litigation team, you will work on high-profile, complex cases, providing legal expertise and support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a large and diverse caseload of mass tort cases, including pharmaceutical, product liability, and environmental cases.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to assess case merits, potential defenses, and litigation strategies.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Handle settlement negotiations and case resolutions, coordinating with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide case updates and ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other team members to ensure case progress and compliance with deadlines.
• Coordinate and prepare for depositions, hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
• Stay current on legal trends, mass tort developments, and relevant case law to provide effective representation.
• Participate in settlement conferences, mediations, and trials, as necessary.
• Ensure that all legal documentation is accurate and filed in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas (or willingness to obtain licensure).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mass tort or complex litigation, including experience with high-volume caseloads.
• Strong knowledge of mass tort procedures and relevant regulations.
• Proven experience with discovery, motions practice, and settlement negotiations.
• Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong client service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with case management software and document management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working with large law firms or mass tort litigation groups.
• Familiarity with class action and multi-district litigation (MDL) processes.
• Experience in managing a team of legal professionals, including paralegals and assistants.
