Position Overview
Law firm located in Houston is looking for a 10-year litigation attorney with experience in all types of business litigation, including business disputes, securities, shareholder and partnership matters, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty.
Responsibilities- Case intake
- Analyzing, researching, and drafting briefs on complex litigation
- Working with staff and junior lawyers
- Summary judgment motions
- Drafting pleadings
- Preparing discovery
- Making all court appearances
- Attending depositions
- Conducting mediations
- First chair trial
- Minimum 10 years of litigation experience in business, securities, and shareholder and partnership litigation
- Strong analytical, research, and drafting skills
- Excellent oral advocacy and courtroom presence
- Ability to manage complex cases and coordinate with junior counsel and support staff
- Bonus paid on billing performance
- Discretionary bonus
- Bar dues and CLEs paid by employer
- $400 a month for health insurance
- Origination fees

- Starting salary from $135,000 depending on skills
