This is a high-level, in-office role with some remote flexibility for a seasoned litigator who thrives in complex injury and medical negligence cases.

About the Role

This attorney will handle plaintiff-side personal injury and medical malpractice matters, with a strong emphasis on pre-litigation, injury litigation, and trials. The role involves significant courtroom exposure, medical analysis, and high-value settlement and trial work in state and federal courts.

Responsibilities
  • Handle medical malpractice and serious personal injury cases from intake through trial
  • Conduct and defend depositions, hearings, and court conferences
  • Draft and argue procedural and substantive motions
  • Prepare and conduct jury trials
  • Perform in-depth medical record analysis and evaluate causation
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in ADR forums
  • Communicate extensively with clients, medical professionals, experts, and opposing counsel
Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing in Texas (required)
  • 3+ years of personal injury and medical malpractice litigation experience
  • Demonstrated trial readiness and courtroom confidence
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills
Required Skills
  • Exceptional legal writing (briefs, motions, memoranda, correspondence)
  • Strong medical knowledge, including anatomy and causation analysis
  • Proficiency with discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials
  • Advanced research and computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication with clients, attorneys, doctors, and third parties
