Job Overview

Our client is seeking a 5-10 years experienced Mid-Level Insurance Defense Attorney to join their Houston team, handling complex insurance litigation, coverage, and first- and third-party matters for domestic and international insurers.

• Manage a diverse caseload of insurance defense and coverage matters.
• Handle first- and third-party property, personal injury, maritime, energy, transportation, and general casualty litigation.
• Conduct legal research, risk assessment, and insurance analysis to develop case strategy.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as required.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active and good‑standing member of the Texas State Bar.
• 5-10 years of insurance defense and coverage litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience representing domestic and international insurers and reinsurers nationwide; trial experience preferred.
