Position: Civil Litigation Attorney (Business & Real Estate)

Real Estate and Business Lawyer at The Weaver Law Firm

The position is for a licensed Texas attorney with at least 5+ years civil litigation experience.

The Weaver Law Firm is a civil litigation firm in the Galleria area. We handle business and real estate related litigation.

We are looking for a tenacious lawyer eager to tackle challenging work. A strong candidate is articulate, personable, reliable, and detail oriented. The ideal lawyer will be resilient and tough, but humble enough to take direction.

  • Longevity with past employment positions
  • Transactional experience is helpful in conjunction with litigation experience

  • Rapid transitions between firms
Candidate should be:
  • Team player and work well with others.
  • Exceptional and experienced legal writer.
  • Licensed with the State Bar of Texas; currently reside in Texas.
  • Have a solid understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and the litigation process.
Attorney responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Managing all aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, attending court conferences, contested hearings, mediation, reviewing pleadings and preparing for and going to trial.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Conduct legal research and draft complex pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Provide client consultations to determine and address their legal needs.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve cases favorably.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in interactions with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
