Role OverviewMulti Sensor AI (MSAI) is seeking a Production Leader to own and scale our production, supply chain, and fulfillment operations as we grow globally. This role is responsible for ensuring that customer demand is met reliably, inventory is well‑managed, costs are controlled, and products ship on time—every time.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on production and supply chain leader with experience managing vendors, bills of materials, inventory, and logistics in a hardware or hardware‑plus‑software environment. This role will be critical in enabling MSAI’s next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities Demand & Supply Planning- Translate sales forecasts into executable production and material plans.
- Balance customer demand, lead times, and inventory risk to support growth without excess stock.
- Ensure materials are ordered ahead of demand while maintaining working capital discipline.
- Drive forecast vs. actual performance, identifying gaps and adjusting supply plans proactively.
- Own the end‑to‑end production lifecycle from order intake through final shipment.
- Accountable for On‑Time, In‑Full delivery (OTIF / OTTP) performance across all customer orders.
- Maintain real‑time visibility into build status, constraints, inventory availability, and shipment readiness.
- Manage inventory across internal warehouses and third‑party logistics (3PL) partners.
- Establish inventory controls, cycle counts, and accuracy processes.
- Optimize stocking levels to support customer delivery while minimizing obsolescence.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including international shipping when required.
- Own and maintain accurate BOMs across all products and configurations.
- Ensure BOMs reflect what is being built and shipped.
- Identify cost‑reduction opportunities through vendor negotiations or part substitutions.
- Monitor component lifecycle risks (EOL, shortages, alternates).
- Identify, qualify, and manage manufacturing and component suppliers, including overseas partners.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQs, and logistics terms to improve margin and reliability.
- Manage supplier performance related to quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
- Partner closely with Engineering to support DFM, part substitutions, and build readiness.
- Support Sales and Customer Operations with accurate delivery timelines and constraints.
- Serve as the operational “source of truth” for production and fulfillment status.
