• Collaborate with Materials Management to design and maintain an effective inventory strategy that supports each customer’s supply needs and aligns with CNT’s business goals.
• Ensure consistent flow of materials so requirements for designated customers match build and shipment schedules.
• The Planner-Buyer will be responsible for reporting these metrics on a weekly basis for their respective customers.
• Inventory:
  Establish a process that analyzes and publishes inventory accuracy reports on a weekly basis for their respective customers, including all inventory movements that affect the inventory levels on a customer-by-customer basis.
• Material planning:
  Ensure that all materials arrivals are loaded onto the MSR report correctly, reflecting the arrival and exact quantity.
• Reschedules:
  Manage all reschedule activity with the Vendors and the Purchasing group in line with rescheduled customer orders to maintain a balanced inventory profile.
• Try for fit:
  Participate in the try for fit process when a customer requires analysis of potential upside demand.
• Systems:
  Use the Materials systems, such as SAP, Vendor Web, and be fully trained and aware of these systems' capabilities.
• Teamwork:
  Be customer-focused, act as a good team member, and be aware of all business issues affecting their customer(s). May deputise for the Materials Supervisor or participate in customer visits and presentations as required.
• Requisition control:
  Generate and control material requisitions.
• Measurements:
  Monitor Inventory turns, Aging Report, Minimum E&O, Invoice queries, System compliance (based on audits), and Vendor communication/localization.
• Order placement:
  Convert Purchase Requisition s (PRs) into Purchase Orders (POs) in a timely fashion; dispatch POs to vendors and coordinate with Expeditors to ensure vendor responses are updated in the system.
• Cancels/reschedules:
  Action cancellations and reschedules weekly/daily to prevent unnecessary material arrivals at the plant.
• Pricing:
  Achieve the best cost solution for purchases, including delivery and other associated costs to bring goods to the plant.
• RCURs:
  Ensure RCURs are actioned promptly; materials not bookable in the SAP system should not be released until required amendments are made to enable receipt.
• Systems maintenance:
  Maintain critical parameters within the SAP system (lead times, delivery terms, purchase price for local parts, etc.).
• Business ethics code:
  Maintain confidentiality of sensitive documents and information; do not share with competitors; avoid any favors from vendors that could influence future purchases; non-compliance may result in dismissal.
• Invoice queries:
  Address invoice queries related to their accounts in collaboration with other departments to resolve stock or freight issues that prevent payments.
