Buyer​/Planner - Medical

Lone Star Turbo is seeking a Buyer/Planner to order parts for inventory and project demand to meet the production schedule.

This position coordinates purchasing, production order releases, supplier deliveries, and purchasing records to support timely material availability.

We are looking for a strong communicator who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working with suppliers, operations, and production teams.

• Create purchase orders on behalf of the company and update and maintain purchase orders as materials are received.
• Read bills of materials and order components to meet inventory and project requirements.
• Quote new parts with suppliers and update pricing in Business Central according to pricing agreements.
• Confirm supplier delivery dates, track deliveries, and update systems with current order information.
• Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to meet production demand and resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other order issues.
• Communicate supply issues to operations and provide production with updates on the status of open orders.
• Run order reports to ensure items are in stock and send open purchase order reports to suppliers.
• Address supplier and customer inquiries regarding order changes or cancellations.
• Calculate order costs and charge or forward invoices to the appropriate accounts.
• Create, audit, and maintain purchasing files, price lists, and order logs.
• Order office and shop supplies.
• Comply with safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management.
• 2–3+ years of experience with purchasing or accounts payable.
• ~ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and strong computer skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in purchasing records and order information.
• Self-starter with the ability to organize work and coordinate purchasing priorities.
