Buyer, Supply Chain​/Logistics

We are looking for a detail-oriented Buyer to support purchasing operations for a Contract position based in Houston, Texas. This role focuses on sourcing materials, supplies, equipment, and services while building productive vendor relationships and securing favorable pricing and delivery terms. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing purchase orders, coordinating with internal teams on inventory planning, and ensuring products meet quality and timing expectations.

Responsibilities:
• Create and issue purchase orders for stock and operational needs in a timely manner
• Source materials, equipment, and services from vendors while balancing cost, quality, and availability
• Track open orders closely and follow up with suppliers to help keep deliveries on schedule
• Partner with customer service and related teams to anticipate inventory demand and support planning efforts
• Communicate regularly with vendors and manufacturers to confirm specifications, service levels, and delivery commitments
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements to obtain the best overall value for the business
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and complete order entry with strong attention to detail
• Build and manage day-to-day supplier relationships to support consistent service and performance
