Coordinator Buyer

The Coordinator I Buyer plays a crucial role in supporting the procurement department by assisting with purchasing activities, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations.

• Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Communicate with vendors regarding order status, delivery schedules, and product information.
• Maintain and update vendor databases and purchasing records.
• Support the negotiation of favorable pricing and terms with suppliers.
• Track inventory levels and assist with replenishment orders to prevent stockouts.
• Resolve discrepancies with invoices, orders, and deliveries in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with project managers and other departments to understand material needs.
• Assist in identifying and evaluating new suppliers to improve cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Prepare reports on purchasing activities, vendor performance, and cost savings.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent;
  Associate's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing or administrative support role, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
• Experience with ERP or purchasing software is a plus.
