This role is ideal for a current or rising Assurance Manager (or Senior Manager) with strong technical skills, a passion for client service, and the desire to take real ownership of their work and team. The objective is to lead the practice into its next chapter as a potential future Partner, with long-term leadership opportunities.
This is a client-facing role. While we offer flexibility (including remote/hybrid options), we are specifically looking for someone based in or willing to relocate to the Houston area.

Responsibilities- Lead and manage engagements in audits, reviews, and compilations with strong technical accuracy.
- Review work, guide audit teams, and instruct staff to ensure quality and consistency.
- Take ownership of client service, communicate clearly with business owners, and guide them through complex issues with clarity and confidence.
- Serve as a leadership contributor on the Assurance practice, potentially succeeding a retiring Partner in the coming years.
- Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with privately held businesses and their leadership teams.
- 5+ years of experience at the Manager/Senior Manager/Director level in Assurance.
- Public accounting background; experience at a Top 5–20 firm is common but not required — audit effectiveness is the focus.
- Strong grasp of audits, reviews, and compilations.
- CPA required.
- Experience reviewing work, managing engagements, and instructing audit teams.
- Technical expertise paired with hands-on teamwork and leadership.
- Exceptional communication skills, especially in client-facing scenarios.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with privately held businesses and their leadership teams.
