Job Overview:

The Lab Manager will be responsible for overseeing the formulation and development of skincare, haircare, and color cosmetic products. This role requires extensive experience in cosmetic science, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for innovation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating effective and safe formulations, managing a team of scientists, and driving projects from concept to commercialization.

Key Responsibilities:

Formulation Development:
Lead the formulation of skincare, haircare, and color cosmetic products from concept to final product, ensuring high performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
Research and

Innovation: Stay current with industry trends, new ingredients, and technologies. Drive innovation by exploring new formulation techniques and ingredients.
Team Management:
Manage and mentor a team of formulation scientists and technicians. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Project Management:
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and objectives are met. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, and quality control.
Quality Control:
Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure product consistency and safety. Troubleshoot formulation issues and provide solutions.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all formulations comply with relevant regulations and standards. Prepare documentation for regulatory submissions.
Laboratory Operations:
Oversee daily laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in cosmetic formulation, with a focus on skincare, haircare, and color cosmetics. Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role is highly desirable.
Technical

Skills:

Extensive knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, formulation techniques, and product development processes. Proficient in using formulation software and laboratory equipment.
Leadership:
Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to inspire and guide a team towards achieving common goals.
Project Management:
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

Regulatory Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of cosmetic regulatory requirements and standards.
