Our client is looking for a hands‑on, people‑first Controller to lead and elevate their accounting operations. As the company continues to scale, this role will play a pivotal part in strengthening daily financial processes, developing the existing team, and building the infrastructure needed for long‑term growth.

This is the perfect opportunity for a “working manager”—someone who loves rolling up their sleeves in the general ledger while also mentoring and empowering a growing team. You’ll partner closely with the CFO to evolve the accounting function from a clerical operation into a disciplined, high‑performing department.

• Lead, coach, and mentor accounting staff
• Build a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
• Work side‑by‑side with the team to elevate skills and streamline workflows

• Oversee AP, AR, Payroll, and Cash Management
• Ensure processes are efficient, compliant, and scalable

• Own the month‑end close process
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses
• Drive improvements to shorten the close timeline

• Strengthen internal controls and implement practical checks and balances
• Identify gaps and introduce scalable, business‑friendly solutions

• Act as a super‑user for current systems
• Partner on evaluating and implementing future ERP solutions

• Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and tax partners
• Prepare schedules and documentation to ensure smooth reviews

• 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role (Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, etc.)
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, or project‑based accounting is highly preferred
