Role Overview

The Contracts Manager is responsible for delivering the company’s order book budget by leading the internal contracts team to create competitive, profitable bids. This role plays a critical part in driving commercial success, strengthening customer and supplier relationships, and building a high‑performing contracts team that enjoys working and winning together.

Key Objective

Lead the internal contracts team to secure profitable orders while maintaining and improving overall win rate.

Required Experience
  • Proven management experience within the valve industry
  • Background in sales and/or procurement
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance margin, risk, and customer requirements
  • Experience leading teams and managing complex quotations and contracts
Key Responsibilities Contracts & Commercial Leadership
  • Lead the contracts team to deliver the annual order book budget
  • Develop and execute quotation plans to improve win probability
  • Review and approve departmental quotations, including margin analysis
  • Create and submit customer quotations
  • Continuously improve contracts processes, procedures, and best practices
Contract Management & Procurement
  • Ensure all customer contracts are reviewed, approved, and processed accurately
  • Manage commercial and technical issues throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Ensure sub‑supplier purchase orders are created correctly and aligned with contract requirements
People Leadership
  • Develop team skills, capabilities, and performance
  • Support recruitment efforts, including interviewing and hiring decisions
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews
  • Manage performance issues, including disciplinary actions and dismissals when required
  • Foster a collaborative, motivated, and results‑driven team culture
