Description
As an Inventory Lead, you'll oversee and manage inventory operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and optimal stock levels. This includes leading a team, analyzing data, and implementing strategies to minimize costs and waste, while ensuring timely fulfillment of customer orders.
Requirements
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate inventory staff, providing guidance and training.
- Manage schedules, delegate tasks, and ensure efficient workflow.
- Address personnel issues and promote a positive team environment.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages or surpluses, and implement strategies to optimize stock levels.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze sales data and forecasting to anticipate future needs and optimize ordering.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize costs and waste.
- Supplier Relations:
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with supplier agreements.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and patterns, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, turnover, and other key metrics.
- Problem-Solving:
- Identify and resolve inventory-related issues, such as shortages, damaged goods, or discrepancies.
- Implement solutions to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management.
- Adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Experience: Proven experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve inventory-related issues effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in using inventory management software and other relevant computer applications.
- Knowledge of Inventory Management Principles: Understanding of inventory control techniques, such as ABC analysis , cycle counting , and just-in-time inventory .
