Job Summary
This integral role offers the opportunity to oversee a dynamic accounting team, ensure financial compliance, and support strategic financial initiatives within a prestigious organization. As a key contributor, you will drive operational excellence and uphold the highest standards of accounting integrity in a mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of 9 accounting professionals in daily operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
• Ensure strict compliance with contractual financial obligations and oversee US federal government funding and expenditures.
• Streamline accounting systems and workflow processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Conduct corporate tax planning and maintain adherence to tax laws and regulations.
• Monitor the general ledger for proper coding and accuracy of financial data.
• Collaborate with the Controller in developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial plans.
• Prepare and support internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in an accounting supervisory or managerial role within a related industry.
• CPA certification is mandatory, with current and active licensure.
• Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems, with familiarity in consolidations and combined statements considered a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, US federal government funding, and tax laws.
• Experience with project-based budget accounting is advantageous.
• Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field.
