This position focuses on building and leading advanced leadership development programs for senior operations leaders within a multi-brand quick service restaurant (QSR) organization. The Director of Learning and Development will design and execute initiatives that strengthen executive capabilities, drive operational excellence, and foster a culture of continuous growth among top-tier leaders such as Regional Directors of Operations.

The Director of Learning and Development will be responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining leadership development programs for upper management across two leading QSR brands. This role focuses exclusively on high-level leadership growth and will not manage LMS-based or brand-level training. The ideal candidate will possess strong executive coaching skills, deep understanding of QSR operations, and proven experience in developing senior leaders to achieve measurable business and personal performance outcomes.

HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
  • Design and execute a comprehensive leadership development framework tailored for Regional Directors of Operations and other senior leaders.
Program Design and Delivery:

Develop and facilitate high-impact training programs focused on advanced leadership competencies including communication, decision-making, critical thinking, team management, and conflict resolution.

Executive

Coaching:

Provide one-on-one and group coaching to help leaders identify strengths, address weaknesses, and set actionable personal and professional goals.

Performance Optimization:

Partner with senior executives to create individualized development plans that align leadership growth with organizational objectives.

Assessment and Feedback:

Implement tools and methodologies to assess leadership effectiveness, track progress, and measure the ROI of leadership development initiatives.

Cross-Brand

Collaboration:

Oversee leadership development efforts across two major QSR brands, ensuring consistency of vision while adapting to each brand’s unique culture and operational needs.

Strategic Guidance:

Serve as an objective advisor to executive leadership on organizational effectiveness, talent readiness, and succession planning.

Travel:

Up to 25% of travel within Houston area – subject to change.

HERE’S WHAT Education & Experience YOU WILL NEED:
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver executive-level leadership programs within a multi-unit or franchise-based QSR environment.
  • Expertise in leadership and life coaching, including credentialed coaching experience (e.g., ICF certification preferred).
  • Strong understanding of QSR operations, field leadership structures, and performance drivers.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess leadership potential and craft individualized growth strategies.
  • Skilled in guiding senior leaders through complex challenges involving decision-making, team dynamics, and organizational change.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to measure and report on leadership development outcomes.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to build trust with executive stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Business, Psychology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in leadership development, executive coaching, or training within the QSR or hospitality industry.
  • Experience leading multi-brand or large-scale leadership initiatives.
  • Certification in executive or life coaching strongly preferred.
