Job Description

The CNC Programmer plans numerical control programs to control the contour path machining of metal parts on automatic machine tools: analyzes drawings, sketches, and design data of the part to determine dimensions, the configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates, according to knowledge of machine shop processes, part specifications, and machine capabilities.
Nature Of Duties/Responsibilities- Programming new jobs per Planning & Engineering procedure.
- Verifying programs with tool path verification programs to minimize programming errors.
- Updating existing job programs to incorporate process improvements.
- Working with Manufacturing Engineering to develop Part Methods to minimize changes and shorten lead times through production.
- Working with Engineering & Customer to resolve drawing issues & manufacturing problems.
- Supporting the manufacturing floor to minimize downtime, solve problems, and optimize cycle times.
- Working with machinists to solve manufacturing problems.
- Evaluating and solving problems on the production floor.
- High School or Engineering certificate from a college or trade school preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in CNC programming using Mastercam; 5 years of experience preferred.
- Experience programming turn/mill centers and 5‑axis programming is highly desirable.
- In‑depth knowledge and understanding of machines and equipment required to fabricate parts from simple to complex.
- Computer skills including CAD/CAM knowledge and experience.
- Ability to produce Customer macro programming as required.

Salary Range (annual): $60,000 - $70,000. Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business, and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
