Overview
Quality Control Welding Inspector Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour (DOE). Shift: 6:00 am — 2:00 pm, Monday-Friday (OT available). Must have welding experience.
Job Description:
The Quality Control Inspector ensures that fabricated items conform to approved drawings, codes/standards, and quality requirements.
- Inspection of subassemblies and products:
Ensure that materials, processes, and dimensions of subassemblies, assemblies, and completed products meet specifications outlined in approved drawings. - Interpretation of technical drawings and standards:
Understand and apply shop fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and dimensions. - Weld inspection:
Inspect welds for size, location, and visual quality, ensuring they align with the requirements of the approved drawings and relevant codes such as AWS D1.1. - Final assembly inspection:
Review finished assembled products to ensure proper assembly and that all components are included and functional. - Receiving inspection of raw materials:
Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, including pipe, plate, welding consumables, and hardware, to verify Material Test Reports (MMTRs) and Certificates of Conformance.
