Position Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Skilled Worker to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise assembly, fabrication, quality inspection, and testing of mechanical components and products. This position requires hands‑on technical skills, a strong focus on quality, and strict adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities- Assembly and Maintenance
:
Accurately assemble components, conduct regular maintenance on equipment, and troubleshoot as needed. - Quality Control
:
Adhere to the quality standards and perform inspections throughout the assembly process, ensuring products meet the company’s rigorous quality standards. - Safety & Compliance
:
Follow all health and safety protocols, maintaining a safe work environment. - Process Improvement
:
Identify areas for improvement within assembly and production processes. - Set up machine tooling to perform cutting operations per work orders and specifications.
- Inspect finished parts for compliance with specifications using tape measure, scale, micrometer, caliper, etc.
- Keep work area clean and in good housekeeping order (5S).
- Meet production metrics and maintain work efficiencies.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production roles.
- Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with assembly tools.
- Good to have:
Experience operating manual lathes/CNC equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and instructions, as well as to understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and shop math for tool tolerance/offsets.
- Computer skills to read from and write to paperless business system for production tracking.
- Attention to detail and commitment to adhere to the quality standards.
- Able to work overtime as needed to meet business needs.
- Diligent, reliable, and a team player with a strong work ethic.
