Job DetailsBase Pay: $18.50 per hour + $1.00 for shift differential.
Hourly rate may vary depending on operations.
Shift times: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (1st shift); 4:30 pm - 1:30 am (2nd shift).
Training may occur on 1st shift.
Shift hours may vary; 8, 10, or 12 hours depending on work orders.
Duties and Responsibilities- Understands and follows safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environment
- Ability to set-up and operate machinery and equipment to cut, punch, form, or paint quality finished or semi-finished parts.
- Ability to operate computerized equipment and material handling equipment.
- Operate various CNC-controlled machines, such as presses, lasers, and rolling mills in a fast-paced production setting, with an emphasis on safety and quality
- Performs routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation.
- Marks part numbers, order numbers, and the number of pieces on parts. Attaches identification tags as required for customer to have the ability locate correct parts.
- Interprets blueprints, specifications, and other technical data to select the correct raw material or semi-finished parts.
- Maintains continuous improvement practices in work area.
- Provide cost-saving suggestions and ideas to improve productivity and eliminate waste
- Utilize scanning equipment
- Inspect work visually for defects according to Quality Systems
- Read a tape measure, write, and follow posted schedules
- Team player and keeping safety first
- May be assigned other projects and duties as designated by Team Leader
- Willing/able to work overtime
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- A minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment
- A minimum of one year operating manufacturing machinery and/or equipment
- Good Communication Skills
- Basic Computer Skills
- Experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment and nail guns
- Able to use measuring gauges
- Able to read a tape measure
- Forklift experience a plus / Must be trainable on forklift
- Crane experience a plus / Must be trainable on crane
- Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist

This is a position with the potential of overtime. The shifts are 8, 10, or 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.
