Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Cylinder Maintenance Supervisor to join our team located in Houston, TX

The Cylinder Maintenance Supervisor will direct planning and labor assignment of cylinder maintenance activities to support the overall Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. cylinder business requirements. This individual will be accountable for Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. South Region replenishment, department labor management, effective asset routing, and pro-active scheduling and planning of cylinder maintenance activities to achieve defined equipment and performance metrics and customer expectations.

The Cylinder Maintenance Supervisor will also manage department activities in compliance with all Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. Safety and Compliance policies in in compliance with applicable government regulations. Follow Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. operations expense and budget control guidelines. Manage the procurement of raw materials, parts, and supplies to ensure efficient operation of the cylinder maintenance facility.

Responsibilities (2nd Shift)

* Ensure the Cylinder Maintenance operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner

* Maintain compliance with all external regulatory agencies including FDA, DOT, EPA, OSHA, as well as all Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. policies and procedures (POIS)

* Develop and implement optimum work schedules to meet internal and external customer requirements

* Manage operating team to routinely achieve 90% or better of manufacturers stated performance capacities of the major pieces of operating equipment

* Maintain stocking levels of finished product and raw materials to ensure customer demands are met on a timely basis

* Purchase department consumables using preferred vendors and pricing to maintain compliance and control costs

* Implement all new and existing processes in accordance with POIS procedures

* Develop Cost Reduction Programs using 6 sigma / Lean techniques

* Network with Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. and Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. Plant Managers to ensure transfer of best practices and implementation of Company initiatives

* Partner with Plant and Asset Manager to develop yearly budgets

* Develop a culture of motivated, trained employees who are responsive to Customers' needs

* Ensure the proper appearance, image, and security of the facility and equipment

* Provide leadership to subordinates by training, supporting, and enforcing company policies and procedures

* Supervise personnel on a fair and consistent basis that will help foster an atmosphere where employees are motivated, informed, and empowered to do their jobs

* Perform monthly ACMS work orders as required

* Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and are a good advertisement for Linde Gas & Equipment Inc.

* Develop lean flow routing standards utilizing six sigma tools and process mapping techniques

* Other duties as assigned

Requirements

* 4 Year Degree preferred but not required.

* Industrial gas industry production/distribution or equivalent chemical manufacturing experience preferred

* Strong organization and project management skills

* Ability to function independently and make logical, sound decisions in a wide variety of situations

* Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and management. Must possess good written and verbal skills

* Computer skills with ability to become proficient in Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint, JDE, and Microsoft Access and Project Management Software

* Must be knowledgeable in all regulatory agencies including, but not limited to, FDA, DOT, OSHA, and EPA
