Machine Operator ; Night Shift

Position: Machine Operator 1 (Day and Night Shift)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all engineering instruction, standard operation procedures, and all departmental procedures
• Gain the ability to perform machine set ups on manual lathes, manual mills, CNC lathes, CNC mills, and Waterjet machines for all programs and part types including production and/or engineering parts with moderate to light assistance
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
• Performs preventative maintenance on machines as required per the company P.M. Program
• Must be able to learn to read and interpret blueprints and drawings for all processes and programs

Ability to learn to the following:

• Machine Safety
• Job orders
• Standard measuring tools including, but not limited to, Micrometers (O.D. & I.D.), Calipers, Bore Gages, Protractors, Height Gages and Depth Gages
• Calibration Requirements
• Familiarity with CNC program knowledge is a plus

Other Job Responsibilities:

• Follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Regularly required to stand, reach, and move about the facility
• Must have math skills and be able to use handheld measuring tools
• Attendance and Punctuality:
  Be at the workstation ready to start work at the beginning of the work period and remain on the job until the close of the work period. Be punctual for all appointments. In areas where required, each employee is also expected to remain on the job until a replacement is present

  Be a team player and participate as an integral part of the GP&C team

• Assist other departments as necessary with approval from your management team
• All other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:
