Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Logistics Coordinator for a large, well‑established organization in the construction and fabrication space. This position supports day‑to‑day logistics operations in a fast‑paced environment, coordinating the flow of materials, equipment, and fabricated components across multiple projects. The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in keeping operations aligned with production schedules while partnering closely with project teams, vendors, and carriers.
Responsibilities- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments for materials, equipment, and fabricated components.
- Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, and delivery tickets.
- Schedule freight carriers and communicate shipment timelines with internal teams and external vendors.
- Receive materials, verify quantities and condition, and ensure accurate system documentation.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delivery issues, delays, or discrepancies.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving records to support audits and project reporting.
- Partner with operations and project teams to align material flow with production and job schedules.
- Support inventory accuracy through routine checks and documentation updates.
- Maintain a safe, organized shipping and receiving area in compliance with safety and company standards.
- 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse coordination.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with freight carriers, LTL shipments, and delivery scheduling.
- Proficiency with basic computer tools, including ERP systems, inventory software, or Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
- Forklift experience or certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
- Exposure to steel or fabrication operations is a plus.
