The Role
We are seeking an experienced Vessel Fitter to join an industrial fabrication team. The role involves fitting and assembling pressure vessels, tanks, cylinders, and structural components using engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
Main Responsibilities- Fit, assemble, and tack weld pressure vessels, tanks, shells, heads, nozzles, and flanges.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols.
- Perform layout, alignment, and fit-up of vessel components.
- Use measuring instruments, grinders, hand tools, and power tools.
- Work closely with welders, pipe fitters, and fabrication teams.
- Check assemblies for dimensional accuracy and quality.
- Follow ASME codes, fabrication standards, and shop safety requirements.
- Proven experience as a Vessel Fitter in an industrial fabrication environment.
- Strong ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.
- Experience with pressure vessels, tanks, or process equipment fabrication.
- Proficiency with layout tools, measuring equipment, and hand/power tools.
- Knowledge of ASME pressure vessel codes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically able to lift heavy materials and work in a demanding shop environment.
Candidates must have hands-on vessel fitting/fabrication experience, particularly with pressure vessels, tanks, shells, heads, nozzles, and structural components, along with strong blueprint and weld-symbol reading skills.
