Job Description

Location: South Houston, TX.
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Shift: Full-time | Night shift 6pm - 6am M-F (weekends based on productions needs)
Pay: $16.50/h

Job Summary

The Oven Helper assists with the loading and unloading of composite parts in the oven room. Working alongside experienced technicians, this role supports oven operations by verifying cure profiles, completing paperwork, recording labor transactions, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload ovens safely and efficiently.
• Select and verify correct oven cure profiles.
• Complete production and operational paperwork accurately.
• Record labor transactions in the data collection system.
• Move completed parts to staging areas.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area (sweeping, mopping).
• Support 5S standards and workplace organization.
• Coordinate oven schedules with other departments.
• Safely operate or assist with overhead crane use.
• Follow all work procedures, safety rules, and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• No prior experience required; manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete paperwork.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and teamwork.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Must wear required PPE.
• Ability to work in hot and cold conditions.
• Comfortable working around resins, composite materials, chemicals, and solvents.
