CNC Programmer

$45 - $55 per hour | Houston, TX | On-site | Permanent

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with a strong hands-on machining background who can develop, maintain, and optimize programs for CNC lathes, mills, mill-turn equipment, and VTLs.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize CNC programs for lathes, mills, mill-turns, and VTLs
• Develop machining strategies, tooling selections, and work holding solutions
• Troubleshoot programming, tooling, threading, and dimensional issues on the shop floor
• Create setup sheets, tooling documentation, and other programming documentation
• Maintain programming standards and revision control
• Work closely with machinists, Quality, Engineering, and Operations
• Identify opportunities to reduce cycle and setup times while improving machining efficiency and quality
• Support programming of complex threaded components and customer-specific connections

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
• Advanced proficiency with Mastercam
• Strong experience programming CNC lathes and mills
• Experience with Fanuc controls
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
• Experience selecting tooling and developing machining strategies
• Experience with Mori Seiki, Mazak, PUMA SMX, Kuraki, OM VTL, or similar CNC equipment
• Experience with API threads, premium threads, or other complex threaded components strongly preferred
• Comfortable working directly with machinists and troubleshooting issues on the manufacturing floor
