The Public Relations (PR) Manager will support Empower Pharmacy’s Public Relations efforts. This role will work directly with the marketing team and government relations team to deliver impactful messages that enhance our already leading brand throughout the nation. The PR manager will be responsible for all PR related activities including building relationships publications, drafting pitches and press releases, securing appropriate approvals, and tracking press hits.

This role will also collaborate with marketing specialists across social media, advertising, and other channels to ensure strategies align to key priorities.

• Maximize external presence in the media.
• Develop and implement an annual PR plan that supports the company’s strategic plan.
• Author, edit, and review creative and strategic content for public outreach campaigns.
• Craft pitches, interviews, and coordinate all media coverage including print, TV, and radio.
• Serve as primary liaison with earned media and press on a local, regional and national.
• Prepare spokespeople for interviews by organizing media pieces of training and drafting briefing notes.
• Manage tracking, monitoring social media, reporting, and archiving of press coverage.
• Share press coverage with key staff members and stakeholders regularly.
• Execute all job functions while maintaining brand integrity and high-quality work with a patron-centered focus, with a positive, teamwork-oriented attitude.
• Assist the Marketing and public relations department with all other projects and tasks as assigned.
• Build and lead editorial calendars.

• Prior media relations experience with a proven track record of securing media coverage.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working efficiently in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a command of grammar and AP style.
• A passion for storytelling and sharing the world of pharmacy with the public.
• Highly organized and able to prioritize with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to be a team player and promote a positive team environment.
