Position

Communications Strategist – NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX

• Build relationships with NASA stakeholders and provide communication support for the Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program
• Handle multiple and complex projects simultaneously under tight timelines and changing priorities and conditions
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks
• Work under general supervision; typically reports to a Team Lead or Supervisor
• Research, strategize, integrate, and execute communication strategies, plans, and message‑management processes
• Develop and implement communication plans for utilization across a variety of platforms
• Write and edit communication products
• Coordinate and integrate communication approaches and products across multiple disciplines and platforms
• Generate routine and/or ad‑hoc reports for OCOMM management/OCOMM customers
• Directly interface with OCOMM management and/or OCOMM customers, as needed

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, multimedia, communications, or other appropriate area of specialization from an accredited college or university
• Must have 5 years of relevant experience
• Proficient in oral and written communications, including writing and editing
• Proficient in AP style
• Advanced problem‑solving skills
• May be required to undergo a standard background check along with verification of education requirements
