Client Relationship Manager, Account Manager
At Lopez Negrete Communications we are growing and looking for an Account Supervisor for our Brand Leadership team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for client relationship building and nurturing, project management, team coaching, and project budgeting. Your strategic thinking and leadership skills will help you succeed in this role.
Reporting directly to the Account Director, the Account Supervisor’s central objectives are:
- to handle the Clients’ business properly, professionally and efficiently;
- to build and uphold the relationship between the Clients/prospective Clients and agency so as to increase and deepen the relationship; and
to ensure that the agency manages the relationship.
In addition to being the key, day-to-day agency representative for the Client (along with others on the account team), it is expected that contributing strategic direction and insights, relevant to the industry and/or segment, will be a large part of this position, as well.
- Must be simultaneously well versed / knowledgeable in the Client’s business/industry, the agency business, the Hispanic segment as well as the end-consumer to be able to integrate this knowledge to propose highly relevant and impact marketing and advertising ideas for our Clients to profitably grow their businesses and consequently, develop and expand the existing Client-Agency relationship. Must ensure a solid and durable relationship with the Client and that the information flow is fluid.
- The Account Supervisor oversees and manages Account Executives’ and Account Coordinators’ performances and serves as the first level for developing the team through training, sharing of insights, practices, methodologies, etc.
- Coordinates with all areas within the agency including but not limited to Creative, Traffic, Media, Accounting, Public Relations and Research to ensure that all elements within the agency are fully utilized as appropriate to further enhance the output for the Client.
- Proactively manages multiple projects, disciplines and, in some cases, Clients to ensure that all deliverables and commitments are upheld and expectations of Clients, team members, as well as vendors, are met if not exceeded.
- Constantly strives to improve the service provided to our clients by proposing solutions/suggestions, streamlining agency (or Client) processes, developing team members, providing relevant and valuable information, etc.
- Must translate the Clients’ business objectives into clear and concise direction for the Account Team members, Creative, PR and Media departments so as to ensure the agency is continuously producing successful and efficient marketing and advertising programs that meet and exceed the Clients’ needs and business objectives.
Education &
Skills:
- Fluent in English & Proficient/Fluent Spanish (both verbal and written)
- Minimum Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Advertising or Marketing or equitable work experience. Ideally post-grad in Marketing or Business
- Solid analytical and organizational skills
- Robust interpersonal skills
- Self-starter, self-motivated leader but also team player
- Knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and email systems.
- Past ad agency experience and/or client experience working with an ad agency.
