Weekday Volunteers Save Lives!

Families to Freedom provides free transportation services to victims and their children who have experienced domestic abuse. We make it possible for survivors to escape abusive relationships by offering car rides to domestic violence shelters across the region, road trips to family homes in other states, multi‑state bus tickets, and fuel assistance to relocate far away. We serve victims across North Texas, East Texas, and the Gulf Coast, driving over 900 people and children each year from our Dallas and Houston offices.

Do you have a passion to help people? Do you feel called to make a difference? Be a hero by driving survivors to safety. Your choice of travel distance—whether across town or across the country—will determine the routes you take, and we cover all the travel costs.

• Weekday daytime drives are in high demand.
• You can choose to accept or decline a drive—no pressure.
• We arrange survivor pick‑ups in a safe public place.
• Many survivors travel with children; we prepare car seats so you don’t have to.
• Families to Freedom provides the vehicle (or you may use your own) and covers all travel costs.
• Training is conducted in‑person at our Houston office.
