Who We Are:

The Met Church is located on the Northwest side of Houston and our mission is to invite people into meaningful relationship with God and each other. We believe making disciples of Jesus happens in the context of relationship and that small group environments are where we grow spiritually in community with other believers. We also live to serve and connect our local community to hope through our variety of mission efforts and care ministries.

You will find our Sunday morning worship to be contemporary and energetic with Bible based teaching focused on understanding and applying God’s word as truth in our lives. At The Met, we are asking God to build a thriving community of people who are following Jesus, being changed by Jesus, and committed to the mission of Jesus.

About This Role:

The Adult Discipleship Pastor plays a vital role in strategically leading the church’s adult ministry by fostering spiritual growth and equipping individuals to live out the mission of the church through relational discipleship. This role fosters a disciple-making culture, with a focus on developing, equipping, and investing in small group leaders to lead healthy disciple-making cultures within our small groups.

A central responsibility is to develop and implementing strategies that inspire adults to grow as disciples of Christ who can then disciple others. The Adult Discipleship Pastor will work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers to create and execute strategies aimed to promote personal Spiritual growth and biblical learning that will lead to stronger connections and empower individuals to live on mission within the context of meaningful relationship.
