Harris County Attorney's Office Community Relations Position

The Communications & Outreach Division is seeking an experienced professional to join our team and serve as a vital link between the office and the community we serve. This job is a good match for someone who is passionate about fostering relationships, identifying community needs, and making an impact in the community.

This position reports to the Community Relations Manager.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify and support initiatives related to building community relations and outreach, enhancing the office's engagement and presence in the community.
• Attend meetings on behalf of the office, these may include meetings hosted by civic clubs, community groups, nonprofit organizations, and houses of worship.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community groups, interfaith groups, nonprofit organizations and other government offices.
• Support constituent services through identifying needs of community members, assisting with navigating resources, and supporting community members as needed.
• Build relationships with community leaders in key areas and connect with them on direct issues being addressed by our office.
• Attend community events and celebrations on behalf of the office, which may include writing and presenting proclamations.
• Support planning and logistics for events and programs hosted by the office.
