We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner with at least two years of experience to work independently under the supervision of one physician in a clinic setting. (GI Experience or preferred). You will apply medical techniques and principles and deal with a diverse set of patients offering them care in a clinic setting in the field of gastroenterology 5 days per week.
Responsibilities- Assess patients
- Issue appropriate prescriptions
- Acquire and review patient histories
- Monitor patients’ progress, order labs, diagnostic tests and procedures
- Follow up on results and communicate effectively with patients
- Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for the patients
- Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate effectively with team members
Current Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse, Current Texas Licensure as an APRN-NP, and specialty certification as required by department. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified.
Minimum EducationMasters in Nursing as NP or Masters degree in Nursing with completion of a post-masters Nurse Practitioner Certification Program.
Physical RequirementsExerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
