We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Post‑Surgical Unit (PSU) Registered Nurse, per‑diem (PRN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high‑quality patient care, ensuring optimal recovery outcomes for post‑surgical patients. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate care in a fast‑paced environment.

• Provide direct patient care to post‑surgical patients, monitoring their recovery and addressing any complications.
• Administer medications, including IV therapy, in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient vital signs, pain levels, and overall progress.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on post‑operative care, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
• Assist with post‑operative pain management and provide emotional support to patients.
• Respond to emergencies and provide critical interventions as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent patient care and bedside manner.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and respond to emergencies with confidence.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols.

• Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in an acute care, PACU, or post‑surgical setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Experience with pain management and post‑operative care strongly preferred.
