Job Summary
HCA Houston ER 24/7 - Montrose is seeking a Manager of Freestanding Emergency Services (Manager, Emergency Services FSED). The role oversees all functions of the Emergency Room, ensures high‑quality nursing care, and supports staff education and development.

- Initiate, guide, and direct the coordination of all functions for the Emergency Room.
- Function as a resource person for staff members and assist in necessary education of individual members of the nursing staff.
- Assume responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided in the Emergency Room.
- Make decisions regarding activities within the department based on Hospital Administrative Standards, Human Resource Standards, and Department of Nursing Standards in collaboration with the Director in unusual situations.
- 3 years of clinical experience.
- 1 year of leadership experience (preferred).
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (required).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required).
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi‑State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License must obtain a Texas RN License within 90 days of hire).
- Current American Heart Association BLS/ACLS Certification (required).
- TNCC and PALS certifications (required).
HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center is a 445+ bed acute care hospital located in the heart of central Houston, adjacent to the Medical Center and Museum District.
