Psych RN Day Shift (Full-time) - Behavioral Health - $3,000 Sign-On Bonus
Kingwood Pines Hospital is a 116‑bed facility located in the beautiful residential community of Kingwood, about 30 miles northeast of the Houston Medical Center. The hospital provides 24‑hour emergency services and serves children, adolescents and adults for psychiatric and behavioral health, with intensive outpatient and partial hospital program services.
Position SummaryRegistered Nurse will provide nursing care for psychiatric patients, including child, adolescent, geriatric and chemical dependency patients using the nursing process. Duties include assessing mental health needs, developing nursing diagnoses, identifying outcomes, planning and evaluating nursing care; administering and monitoring medications and treatments; ensuring safety and providing milieu management and crisis intervention strategies.
Job Duties / Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to licensed vocational nurses, psychiatric technicians and counselors. Direct milieu management.
- Provide assessment of patients’ psychiatric and medical status.
- Contribute to treatment plan as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Document nursing care, treatment and patient’s response to treatment.
- Recognize signs and symptoms of mental health disorders and chemical dependency disorders and apply appropriate treatment interventions.

- Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Associate’s Degree) required; BSN preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas required.
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience required; psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
- CPR and HWC Crisis Intervention training must be completed prior to beginning work.
- Hours:
Day shift 7 AM‑7 PM (rotating weekends required).
