Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) – Memorial City, Houston, TX

Overview
Texas Oncology seeks an experienced RN to provide oncology infusion care at the Memorial City location in Houston, TX. The RN will support a dynamic, patient‑centered clinic environment and will advance the U.S. Oncology Network’s mission of high‑quality, evidence‑based cancer care.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with national and company standards.
  • Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.
  • Prepare and administer therapies under physician direction and supervision.
  • Administer medications/blood products using correct dosage, route, time and technique.
  • Obtain pre‑authorization and consent forms prior to therapy administration.
  • Facilitate dose modification by assessing labs, consulting protocol, and consulting physicians.
  • Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports and maintain central line devices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
  • Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
Qualifications
  • BSN preferred; RN state license required.
  • BLS certification; continuing education to be maintained.
  • Level I: 0‑3 yrs nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
  • Level II:
    Minimum 3 yrs nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
  • Level Senior:
    Minimum 5 yrs nursing experience, 1 yr oncology; oncology certification preferred.
Working Conditions

Typical duties include handling and lifting up to 40 lbs, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Exposure to communicable diseases and other oncology clinic hazards may occur. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified applicants.
