Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other clinical disciplines in making decisions regarding each patient’s nursing care needs. Works with professional and non‑professional employees of the hospital, and with physicians, patients, and their families.

• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients.
• Responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice for the Rehabilitation Unit and managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment.
• Participates in activities to plan, measure, assess and improve the quality of patient care.
• Instructs patients/families regarding the disease process.
• Responsible for additional admission paperwork specific to the Rehabilitation Unit.
• Participates in weekly patient care conferences, as needed.
• Assumes the responsibility of charging the unit, as needed.
• Responsible for maintaining customer friendly atmosphere.
• Scans supplies from P.O.U. area.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse with an active license in the state of Texas or compact license
• Associates degree required, Bachelor preferred
• 1 year of experience working as an RN required
• 6 months rehab nursing experience preferred
