Part‑time Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse at TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital.

Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient care to individuals emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
- Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for both patients and families in preparation for discharge.
- Assist physicians with tasks in procedure rooms, including conscious sedation and use of sterile techniques as appropriate.
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
- Active RN license in the state of Texas.
- BLS and ACLS required (PALS if required by the center).
- 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
- Ability to make sound decisions based on nursing judgment.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
- Critical thinking and rapid decision‑making in a PACU setting.
- Proficiency in patient monitoring and post‑anesthesia care.
- Skilled in IV therapy, airway management, and emergency response.
- Strong interpersonal and patient education skills.
- Knowledge of infection control and sterile techniques.
- Minimum 2 years in PACU, Critical Care, or related specialty preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced surgical environment.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and charting.
- Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage.
