The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in the Emergency Department, working collaboratively with physicians and the care team. Responsibilities include assessing patient pain, performing procedures, documenting care, responding promptly to patient requests, and teaching patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and follow‑up measures.

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating patient needs.
• Teach patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, and possible side effects.
• Educate families on non‑medicinal follow‑up measures, healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience.
