Description:
Registered Nurses are needed for a busy cardiovascular intensive care unit.
The unit cares for patients with heart failure, STEMI, pulmonary emboli, and arrhythmias.
RNs must be open to floating and flexible with scheduling.
Successful candidates will typically have three or more years of experience and prior travel experience.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2, with occasional 1:1 care.
RNs are required to titrate drips, including epinephrine and nor epinephrine.
There is a charge nurse on each shift, aiming for free charge status, but this is not always achieved.
Patient care assistant support is minimal, typically one for all 18 beds.
RNs must interpret their own telemetry strips using HP monitors.
Weekend work is required every other week.
Holidays may also require coverage.
No call or standby requirements exist for this position.
Floating to similar units may be necessary.
Scrub color is teal for tops and bottoms, with solid jackets required.
Two 12-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation will be provided.
