Base pay range: $170.00/hr - $225.00/hr
Coda Pet is a small, independent group of veterinarians that have teamed up to make it easier for vets like you to provide at‑home euthanasia services in your community. We provide the technology, scheduling, call center, payment processing, and marketing resources you need to start and manage your own at‑home euthanasia practice. You have 100% control over when you work, where you serve, and what you charge.
We are building up our Houston market and are looking for veterinarians who are excited to launch their own practice with us.
In short, Coda Pet handles everything except the medical services that you are licensed to provide as a veterinarian. You set the days and times you want to work, and Coda Pet will advertise your services, schedule appointments, answer inbound calls, and collect payment. If you haven't provided in‑home euthanasia before, we also provide extensive training and access to an exclusive community of other in‑home euthanasia providers all across the United States.
HowMuch You Can Earn
Because you have absolute control over your schedule, service area, and pricing, how much you earn will depend on how often you want to work. On average, Coda Pet's veterinary partners take home about $370 per appointment (after your variable expenses but before taxes).
Part‑time Examples:
- A (Former) Vaccine Clinic Veterinarian:
Earned about $7,250 after expenses last month supporting just 21 pet parents. - A Relief Veterinarian:
Earned an average of $6,000 per month after expenses working around 22 hours to support 11 clients. - An Independent Vet Clinic Owner:
Earns an extra $5,000 each month supporting just 18 pet parents.
Full‑time Examples:
- A General Practice Vet:
Earns around $12,000 per month while supporting fewer than two clients per workday. - A World Traveler:
Earned around $10,500 while shepherding 24 pets across the rainbow bridge after a one‑month trip abroad.
- Compassion and empathy for pets and their owners
- An active veterinary license in the state(s) you wish to operate
- Access to suitable transportation to visit your client’s homes
Beyond those three qualifications, Coda Pet will guide you in obtaining all of the other supplies, drugs, and essentials that you’ll need.
We partner with a diverse group of veterinary professionals providing in‑home euthanasia services in their communities, including:
- Full‑ and Part‑Time Clinical Veterinarians
- Mobile and Ambulatory Veterinary Practice Owners
