We’re hiring a Quality Engineer in Houston, TX! Join our growing team and play a key role in ensuring top-quality standards across our operations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to process improvements, support cross-functional initiatives, and help drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Lead and support quality assurance initiatives in a manufacturing environment, ensuring products and processes meet industry standards, regulations, and internal guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to drive process improvements and enhance product quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects, root cause analysis, and problem‑solving efforts to reduce defects and increase efficiency.
- Develop, maintain, and improve quality control systems and processes, filling gaps where necessary.
- Conduct inspections of products, components, and materials to ensure compliance with specifications and work instructions.
- Track and document material purchases, inspect incoming materials, and address supplier quality or delivery issues.
- Implement and manage process control, testing, and inspection methodologies.
- Contribute to the creation and update of product work standards, operating procedures, and quality documentation.
- Promote quality standards, inspection processes, test plans, and reporting across the organization.
- Assist with investigations into customer complaints, product failures, or equipment issues, recommending corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop internal audit plans and participate in internal and external audits.
- Support quality assurance training programs for operations teams.
- Identify operational improvement opportunities, implement corrective actions, and measure outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in a quality role within manufacturing.
- Knowledge of quality standards and methodologies such as ISO, Six Sigma, or equivalent.
- Strong skills in reading and interpreting technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and work instructions.
- Experience with ERP systems and data management.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
- Knowledge of logistics, regulatory compliance, and hazardous materials handling.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Oracle systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Experience planning, prioritizing, and executing work in a fast‑paced environment.
