Arizola & Associates is recruiting for a Quality Engineer for a manufacturing company in East Houston.
Essential Job Functions:- Oversee the ISO quality management system. Support and help guide organization through ISO Certification.
- Create and lead supplier quality management system. Collect, analyze, and monitors supplier quality data and develop/maintain supplier quality score card.
- Participate in audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventative actions.
- Lead and participate in company internal audits for ISO 9001.
- Supports Quality Action reporting metrics; provides data for tracking metrics. Assists in development of root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions are implemented to address non-conformances.
- Develop and suggest new and more efficient way to initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation of the current products throughout the production life cycle.
- Perform routine audits and/or onsite assessments for key present and potential suppliers.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of working to ISO:9001 - 2008/2015 including writing policies, procedures and work instructions. Knowledge of ISO changes over the previous 2009 version is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Materials) or a related technical discipline with 5 or more years of related experience.
- Quality background in manufacturing sector is required.
- American Society for Quality (ASQC) and Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certification is a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma certification desired. Minitab or similar data statistical analysis capability preferred.
- Must be proficient with MS Office suite of tools.
- ERP software experience is highly desirable.
