QA/QC&Test Manager
toleadandstrengthenourqualityassurance,quality control,andelectricaltestingprogramswithinourpanelshopoperations.
Thispositionisresponsiblefordevelopingandmaintainingqualitystandards,overseeingelectricaltestingandinspectionprocedures,ensuringcompliancewithapplicableindustrycodesandcustomerspecifications,andmanagingthefinalacceptanceofcompletedelectricalpanelsandcontrolsystems.
Theidealcandidatewillpossessastrongtechnicalbackgroundinelectricalsystems,industrialcontrolpanels,quality management,andtestingprocedures,alongwiththeleadershipskillsnecessarytodeveloppersonnel,improve processes,andmaintainconsistentproductquality.
Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance&Quality Control Management- Develop,implement,andcontinuouslyimprovethepanelshop'sQA/QCprogram,policies,and procedures.
- Establishandmaintainqualitystandardsthroughoutthefabrication,assembly,wiring,testing,andfinalinspectionprocesses.
- Ensuremanufacturedproductsmeetapplicableindustrystandards,engineering specifications,customer requirements,andinternalqualityexpectations.
- Developstandardizedinspectionchecklists,quality documentation,andacceptancecriteria.
- Monitorproductionqualityandidentifyopportunitiesforprocessimprovement.
- Investigatequalitydeficiencies,determinerootcauses,andimplementcorrectiveandpreventiveactions.
- Maintainaccuraterecordsofinspections,nonconformances,corrective actions,andqualityperformance.
- Collaboratewithpanelshopleadership,engineering,andproductionpersonneltoresolvequality-related issues.
- Overseeelectricaltestingandinspectionactivitiesforindustrialcontrolpanels,electricaldistributionpanels,andotherpanelshopassemblies.
- Develop,implement,andmaintainstandardizedelectricaltestingproceduresanddocumentation.
- Ensureappropriatetestingisperformed,including,as applicable:
- Continuityandpoint-to-pointwiringverification.
- Insulationresistancetesting.
- Groundingandbondingverification.
- Voltageandpolarityverification.
- Functionaltestingofelectricalandcontrolcircuits.
- I/Overificationandcontrolsystemtesting.
- Componentandequipmentoperationalverification.
- Verifythatelectricaltestingequipmentisproperlymaintained,calibrated,andsuitableforitsintendeduse.
- Reviewelectricalschematics,wiring diagrams,panel layouts,andtechnicalspecificationstoverifycompliance.
- Ensureelectricaltestingisconductedsafelyandinaccordancewithapplicableproceduresandelectricalsafetyrequirements.
- Reviewandapprovetestingdocumentationandinspectionresultspriortoproductrelease.
- Establishandmanagefinalinspectionandproductacceptanceprocedures.
- Verifythatcompletedpanelsandassembliesmeetapproveddrawings,customer specifications,andapplicablequalitystandards.
- Coordinateandoversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities.
- PrepareandreviewFATprocedures,test reports,inspection records,andcustomeracceptancedocumentation.
- Coordinatewithcustomers,project managers,andengineeringpersonnelduringinspectionsandacceptancetesting.
- Identifyandresolveoutstandingqualityconcernspriortoshipment.
- Ensureproperdocumentationandauthorizationarecompletedbeforereleasingfinishedproducts.
- Supportresolutionofcustomerqualityconcerns,warranty issues,andproductdeficiencies.
- Lead,train,anddevelopQA/QCinspectorsandelectricaltestingpersonnel.
- Establishclearexpectationsforqualityperformance,inspection accuracy,andtestingprocedures.
- Evaluateemployeetechnicalcompetencyandidentifytraininganddevelopmentneeds.
- Providetechnicalguidancetoproductionpersonnelregardingworkmanship,quality standards,andtestingrequirements.
- Promote accountability,attentiontodetail,andcontinuousimprovementthroughoutthepanelshop.
- Assistwithstaffingrecommendations,performance evaluations,andthedevelopmentofqualitypersonnel.
- Fostercollaborationbetweenquality,testing,engineering,andproductionteams.
- Ensurequalityprocessesalignwithapplicablerequirements,includingNEC,NFPA
70E,UL508A,andotherrelevantindustrystandards. - SupportapplicableULpanelshopcertificationandcompliancerequirements.
- Assistwithinternal,customer,andthird-partyqualityaudits.
- Developandmonitorkeyqualityperformanceindicators,includinginspectionresults,rework,deficiencies,andcustomeracceptance.
- Identifyrecurringproductionissuesandrecommendimprovementstoreducerework,delays,andcosts.
- Supporttheimplementationofstandardizedworkinstructionsandqualitycontrolprocesses.
- Workwithmanagementtoestablishlong-termqualityimprovementobjectives.
