A leading medical research institution in Houston is seeking a Research Associate to develop and apply tools for monitoring brain activity. The candidate will lead efforts involving genetically encoded voltage indicators and optogenetic silencers. Responsibilities include maintaining electrophysiological equipment, teaching lab techniques, and analyzing data. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in a related field and have at least three years of relevant experience.

Preferred qualifications include a doctoral degree and skills in imaging neural activity. This is a full-time in-lab position.
